MediaTek MT5931 is a highly integrated system on a chip (SoC) with 802.11n media access control (MAC), baseband, radio, a power amplifier and transmit-receive switch. It's designed to act as a companion chip to the MT2502, where a wearable or IoT device also needs Wi-Fi. MediaTek's advanced design techniques deliver ultra-low active and idle power-consumption to offer long battery life, making MT5931 an extremely low-cost Wi-Fi platform.
